Before arriving in Europe, five years had already passed in Buenos Aires — two of them inside a restoration workshop in the historic quarter, hands learning what a building holds onto over time, layer by layer. Architecture called to him there, before anything else did.
That eye for space didn't disappear when the city changed. Espacio I holds what came next: not a place, but the space between places, painted before it had a name — the same instinct that once read old façades now reading the emptiness of somewhere new. Part of the Miradas Nocturnas series, his first exploration of light and urban memory in a country he was only beginning to know.
Every search needs room to happen in. This is that room — dark, undefined, wide enough to hold both what was lost and what hadn't arrived yet.
